Frequently Asked Questions
What is ABA therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-supported approach that helps children build communication, social, and daily-living skills while reducing behaviors that get in the way of learning. At Summit, every program is individualized and person-centered.
What ages do you serve?
We specialize in comprehensive early intervention for children ages 2 through 16.
Where do sessions happen?
Summit provides clinic-based ABA therapy at our Puyallup clinic and eligible in-home services throughout Greater Puyallup and Bonney Lake.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes. Summit accepts Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) and other major plans. View our insurance partners and coverage details.
Do you accept private pay?
Not at this time - services are provided through insurance. If you're unsure about your coverage, reach out and we'll help you figure it out.
How do I get started?
Click Start Services and complete our intake form - it takes about 10 minutes. From there, we verify your insurance, schedule an assessment with a BCBA, and build your child's plan.
Do I need a diagnosis before starting?
Insurance plans commonly require diagnostic and clinical documentation before authorizing ABA therapy. Requirements vary, so complete the intake form or contact Summit for guidance about your plan.
How soon can services begin?
Timing depends on availability, staffing, scheduling, required documentation, assessment, and insurance authorization. We cannot guarantee a start date until these steps are complete.
Do you offer services in Spanish?
Yes - our team includes bilingual Spanish/English clinicians and staff.
Will parents be involved in therapy?
Absolutely. Parent training and support is built into every treatment plan - research supports stronger progress when caregivers are part of the process.
Ready to take the first step?
We'd be honored to be part of your child's journey.
