What You Should Know

A Verification of Benefits (VOB) is the process of contacting your insurance company to learn about your behavioral health benefits. During this process, we gather information such as:

  • Whether your insurance plan includes ABA therapy benefits

  • Whether Summit Behavior Services is in-network or out-of-network

  • Any copays, coinsurance, or deductibles that may apply

  • Whether prior authorization or a referral is required

  • Any visit limits or coverage restrictions

This information helps us prepare for the authorization process and gives your family a better understanding of your potential financial responsibility.
